The Minerals North Conference and Trade Show, taking place in Prince George from April 30 to May 2, 2025, is Northern British Columbia’s premier event for the mining and mineral exploration sector. Held annually, this conference provides a vital forum for Indigenous Nations, industry leaders, government representatives, and community stakeholders to connect, share knowledge, and explore opportunities tied to resource development across the region. This year’s event stands out for its stronger emphasis on Indigenous leadership and participation, with several panel discussions and keynote addresses highlighting the role of First Nations in shaping the future of responsible mineral development. The schedule features targeted sessions on exploration updates, infrastructure investment, sustainability in operating mines, and policy reform — including a high-level discussion on the Mineral Tenure Act featuring First Nations leadership. Notably, Tsay Keh Dene First Nation is represented in a key panel on developing agreements in mineral exploration and mining, underscoring the Nation’s active presence in the resource economy. With a compact, 1.5-day core program and multiple networking opportunities, Minerals North 2025 offers an efficient and meaningful way for decision-makers to stay informed, strengthen partnerships, and reinforce the North’s shared vision for sustainable development.
